What if i made Sterling the vessal/mortal renincarnation/physical fragment of a god? <a god whom would be/would have orginally been incorporeal or just didnt have a physical form as a whole until Sterling came into existence, considering how formless space is known to be> Idk which version i prefer tbh, so im keeping it vague. Though... i suppose it would be kinda funny if i went the genshin route with it... like, with how they do gods... or even the yaksha?? 🤔 not sure if either would fit, generally, since i dont want him to actually be a full fledged god (since idk i think thatd be boring). but its definitely still an option to pick if i ever wanna get wacky with it.
Like, a space god-- a god of (the) stars, specifically? I could easily allude to this with his full name; "Sterling Perilune". He could even do double time as a god of constellations too, since they of course go hand in hand, but that also means theyd make him a god of storytelling too - since people throughout history have made up stories about perceived shapes in the stars (like the zodiac and their stories, and all the constellation myths the greeks have) or made up tales about stars in general (like the myth about how when someone dies, their soul is said to go into the sky and turn into a star). Which is smth interesting to think about as a possible option to add to his lore. Its on the heavy maybe end of the list.
This is what his first name means:
And this is what his surname means (its not a "real" surname, but imma use/treat it as one anyways):
