A wealthy man can look at his worth and say that the system is good because it benefits him. He is on top, he gleefully profits from the pain and suffering of the poor man. In his eyes there is no problem with this, after all they each have their own role in the system, to serve one another and eventually back to the wealthy. It's a closed loop, a beautifully functioning machine. Sure there is some strife every now and then, but what worth would it be to attempt to upend that system? Do you not find it beautiful?
It is not unlike Man's view of the natural world. Being on the top of the food chain, he is able to look down upon the other animals fighting amongst each other and claim that this system is good. Yes, It causes considerable pain and suffering, but would you look at the benefits he can reap! It must be a good system after all, it rarely if ever hurts him (save for the pains of procreation and death). To him it is a well oiled machine, a piece of art. To the other animal-kind, it is a black box that tears flesh for all eternity.
Thai Union, owners of the seafood company John West, claim to use sustainable food methods.
In reality, they have been the planet's main illegal tuna fishing company for years.
Tuna migrations are the sole source of the thermal convection currents needed to balance ocean temperatures.
In the absence of these migrations the annual el nino event has escalated.
6 species of tuna, necessary for these currents to exist ALL went extinct in just the last 18 months.
Not severely reduced in number, not some populations living in captivity, EXTINCT, completely gone, and we do not yet have the science to actually bring them back.
It could take 50 years to develop the technology needed to reverse this event.
If the weather continues to follow the pattern that we've observed over those 18 months, human civilisation as we know it, less still the scientific community necessary to reverse it, will not last that long.
We do not have a solution for this. We have not researched a solution. For the past decade proposals to find one, were rejected by the G7 in favour of pentapeptide research, to make soaps with a silkier texture.
The world powers decided that silkier soap was more important than a contingency plan for potentially a human extinction event.
I KID YOU NOT.
If you wanted something to be mad about, THIS IS IT!
For Canada is was more about lack of funds, and the French ministries voted for it, but were overruled by President Macron.

Which of these animals do you think should replace humans after a mass extinction???
Australian Fire Hawks
Belugas with thumbs
Monitor Lizards. They're featherless bipeds, after all
Bluestreak cleaner wrasse (they can use mirrors)
Parrots, but only the feral ones from Los Angeles
Cuttlefish with psychic powers
Spinosauri with laser guns
This is mostly a joke...
