so I was thinking of buying some pretty translucent dice (chessex borealis aquerple) and reinking the numbers with maybe purple or blue. But they come with black ink and even if you ink over it, im worried you could see the black through the translucent plastic. can you use acetone to remove the paint, or does that damage the plastic? is there a safe way to remove the factory ink? thanks!!

The one time I tried to use acetone to remove ink, it totally destroyed the cheap plastic dice I was using. That said, I also screwed it up in possibly every single way by being impatient, so there is that. Other people have suggested various other methods, but I’m hesitant to recommend any particular method I haven’t tried myself. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
