It was dark. The walls of their home shadowed and dull, new moon's lightless night peering through the windows as Kasmeer walked upstairs.
The home had been Marjory's long before it had been Kasmeer's. The name plate added once she moved in, declaring it theirs, made her soft and a little lovesick. That had been a long time ago, many battles, many reunitings, many lifetimes ago. She adjusted the glasses on her face, hidden by beauty illusions, but even the illusion could not keep them on her softening face.
The stairs creaked a little more each year. Marjory told her that they needed to find a new home, she couldn't manage the stairs as easily anymore. Kasmeer overcame this with portals, grinning as her wife grumbled to herself. Kasmeer's knee twinged as she hit the top stair. That was new, but manageable. Like everything else - new but manageable.
Kasmeer had stepped down from her role late last year and it was... different not being needed the same way. They started attending funerals again - not ones for those lost in battle, but those who died of natural causes. It was new. Neither of them had known anyone to die of natural causes in a long time.
Marjory's back is to her when Kasmeer reached their bedroom. Black hair nearly entirely grey now, only a few streaks of a dull black remaining, Kasmeer always thought she was the most beautiful, charming woman in the room. Any room. Kasmeer sighed in a dreamy romantic way and Marjory turned over her shoulder.
"I may not hear that well, but I will always hear that," Marjory said in a faint voice, a grin on her face. Kasmeer laughed and walked over to her wife.
"I love you," Kasmeer whispered, wrapping her wife in a tight, comforting hug.
"I love you too," Marjory whispered back, her lips pressed into Kasmeer's dress. Kasmeer let the weight of Marjory's head ground her in the moment as her fingers ran through her wife's hair.

Surprise hug/lift off ground - Stabby (spoilers for episode 5 - set up for toxic yuri)
Friday morning. She couldn't lose sight of things now. Tabitha sighed, massaging her temples as a headache threatened her calm. Miners to fire, a strike to crush, a cousin to keep safe for just a couple more days.
Stella leaned her head on Tabitha's shoulder and she relaxed a little bit more. Right, and... this. Whatever this was, after last night's reconnection and confession, Tabitha also had Stella to worry about now.
"What are you thinking about?" Stella murmured in that delicate place right below Tabitha's ear.
You.
"Nothing, I need to get to work." Tabitha stood, ignoring how Stella flopped on the couch behind her. "Are you coming?" Tabitha's chest ached when Stella gasped in excitement.
"Really? Am I no longer banned from the mines?" Stella said with a flirtatious edge and Tabitha rolled her eyes.
"No, it just means I invited you this time. Come on, we have stuff to do today." Tabitha was ready to get to work, the sun barely cresting over the edge of the mountain. Staying the night at Stella's was not part of the plan, but it happened. Best to move on and handle things from here.
Tabitha grabbed her keys and paused. "Are you... okay if we drive?" Stella froze as if she had also just considered this.
"Y-yeah... if it's you driving and what you said about... the town trapping us... then there's nothing to fear, right?" Stella's words came out a little more unsure than Tabitha would like, but she nodded and accepted it anyway. Out the door and into the car, just ten steps like she had always counted from Stella's door to the car, then -
"Stella!" Tabitha shouted, surprised as her feet left the ground, strong arms wrapped around her middle. She hung there limp and confused in Stella's arms, kicking her feet out.
"Sorry! Sorry! I just... it's sweet of you to ask. I missed this," Stella mumbled into Tabitha's back. Tabitha grumbled acknowledgement and twisted to put an arm around Stella's shoulders. She couldn't see her face, but Tabitha could feel the smile all the same.
So much had changed, but this would always be there for them both. Stella's grip tightened before dropping Tabitha to the ground. Her boots hit the ground hard and then she turned to hug Stella back, blushing slightly when Stella made a little surprised sound.
"I missed this too," Tabitha said into Stella's shoulder and they both clung to each other until the motions of mornings in Scarlet Hollow couldn't be ignored any longer.

Fihn nods, blinking slowly at you. "Sure thing, friend," He says in a lazy tone, the corners of his mouth quirking up into a soft smile. He holds his arms open, but makes no move toward you, so you have to close the gap.
He wraps his arms around you gently and even rubs your back a little. He's soft against you, and his hold is loose enough that you can leave at any time. But there's something about him that's so relaxing. Fihn seems to exude an aura of calm that takes the day's stresses and smooths them over. If you're not careful, you might fall asleep.

Snowflake sat down beside him and pat a finger in his head. "I'd wish to hug you.. but I think I mah be too big for that.." she smiled nervously.
//Congratulations, you are the first one to get this message!
Basically what this means is that you’ve basically broken the one simple rule of this blog which is no hugging or begging for hugs or anything having to do with hugs in general.
