Hey, all! New Classpect blog on the block here. Figured I'd kick off my first post by sharing something quick & fun.
There are many ways to assign yourself a classpect. You can either spend years analysing Homestuck's themes and dissecting your own psyche (which is gonna be more accurate but hella effort), or you can take one of the various online quizzes out there (much less time yet still normally a justifiable result).
But aren't so many Aspect quizzes kinda *samey*? The same basic structure, the same recurring questions? What if someone reduced it to the bare essentials? The simplest way to reduce 12 options to 1, is dividing by 4 and 3.
So here!
Let's cut the fluff.
There may be 12 aspects, but you don't NEED 12 questions or more to determine one. Just two solid answers.
Be resolut
Now, is this the most rigorous quiz in the world? LOLno. But is it still actually pretty insightful? I'd say so, yeah! There's no "middle-ground" options here so you must answer firmly and sincerely.
Again, it's only two questions, so what's to lose by answering? Let me know if you think your results are accurate!

You know how the aspects of Breath, Light, Time and Space seem conected to a element, like: Breath - Air, Time - Fire, Space - Earth and Light - Water
So i been wondering if it does the same with other aspects, they always seem divided by 4, so the next it would be: Life - Earth, Hope - Air, Heart - Fire and Void - Water
And i am assuming the only ones next would be Doom - Fire, Blood - Earth, Mind - Air and Rage - Water
But are the only ones i'm not convinced. Mind could be Air but both Doom and Rage seem conected to Fire someway
This is super late but...I’M CANON, LOSERS, SUCK IT! I swear I didn’t cheat either, I just know myself too well. Also does this mean I’m a certified classpector? Hussie, give me a license!
For Xefros? It’s possible, but he just doesn’t seem like one to me. He’d be more into The Grubbles(or whatever their resistance is called) than he seems to be. From what we’ve seen so far, it looks more like he’s just following Dammek, which isn’t very princely or rage-like(two types of ‘I do what I want’ stubbornness). I’d sooner put Dammek as a prince but we haven’t properly met him yet to judge. If Xefros’ class IS active tho then is it a similar case to Jade, where maybe Dammek or someone is keeping him more passive than he naturally is and he just sort of accepted it?

Space and Time are the aspects concerned with physical dimensions. Together they make up all of SpaceTime. Space is also linked to visual art, environments, and the setting. Time is linked to music, narrative pacing and decay.
Light and Void are linked to Gnosticism's world of light and world of darkness respectively. Light is found in imagination and true information. Good fortune, what's important and plot relevance. Void deals in the physical world, nothingness or meaninglessness. Secrets, lies, misfortune, the unknowable, and plot irrelevance.
Life and Doom relate to the power we wield over reality and that which certainty exerts above us. Life describes agency, the power with which a character overcomes the obstacles before them. It's linked to growth, drive, rule-breaking. Including the consumption, & use of energy to survive. Doom meanwhile describes the conflict of the story, the burden that the world places on every character. It's connected to rules, technology, sacrifice and high output that comes with an unsustainable energy cost. As such, Life players tend to be very wealthy and have a great amount of influence over their societies. While doom players tend to be linked to labor and poverty.
Breath and Blood are both concerned with people, goals, teamwork and direction. Breath is linked to emotion, freedom, and goals set by oneself. Also detachment from the world. It describes the plot the core events that drive the story. Blood represents connection, responsibility, commitment to a collective, and attachment to the world. It describes character dynamics, the relationships that influence the cast as the story moves along.
Hope and Rage are concerned with perspective. Hope relates to faith, possibilities, positive emotions, and all things imaginary and idealistic. It also describes our faith and the narratives coherence, our excitement for building plot threads, and ability to immerse ourselves in the fictional world. Rage relates to negative emotions and the ways they have us focus on the physical reality right in front of us. It describes the contrivance present in every story, making us see through the illusion of the fiction to focus on its flaws instead.
Finally, Heart and Mind relate to the nature of the self and the two sides of a character, their feelings and choices. Heart reflects the soul, inner feelings, love & attraction. Including platonic ideals of both people and objects. Heart players often have unique, personal weapons and change very little. Mind reflects the thoughts between the heroes in our world and reality. It's focuses on choices how we present ourselves to the world around us and the experiences that make us unique. The Seer of Mind’s weapon is highly adaptable, taking a variety of forms depending on her needs.
