i like the idea of dysphoric androids
which could mean different things; like picture an android who feels out of place in their own body, an android who wishes they bled red and didn't have perfect algorithms and programming and analytic systems that made everything they did technically perfect, an android who hates seeing themself without skin and hates being called "it" or "just a machine". give me androids who wish with all their heart that they were human, but who know it's an impossible dream.
and on the other hand, androids who worked at the eden club, like north for the sake of example, who feel wrong for being built with genitalia. they feel different to the majority of androids who were built without, and they can't even feel anything down there anyway. even if they could, they probably wouldn't care; they were built and designed for the pleasure of humans, nothing else. it weighs them down. "traci" is similar to a deadname for some of them.
