Updates on my reading challenges. I'm doing 2 photo challenges, 3 reading challenges and I'm part of a postal book club. Tomorrow I'll be starting Prisoner of Azkaban for HP chapter a day. I've included a few pictures from the various challenges as well.

Ron is so psychic sometimes. Why wasn't he the best student in Divination?

Today's chapter is about friendship and I can think of no better part of this chapter that exemplifies friendship. The golden trio has formed. One of the best friendships in literature in my opinion.

Betrayal: Neville is betrayed by his own memory, Draco betrayes Madame Hooch's trust in the students, McGonagall betrays the school rules in having a first year student join the quidditch team and Harry is betrayed by Draco and Peeves by them both trying to get him caught by Filch. #hpchapteraday

A few of my favorite moments from Today's chapter. Chapter 7 The Sorting Hat

The theme for chapter 5 is being a stranger. I'm going to deviate. This is the chapter where Hagrid says the famous line of "There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin. You-Know-Who was one" As a proud Slytherin this makes my blood boil a little bit. Not all of us are bad. As a matter of fact with this post I have included 3 wizards who are bad but are not from Slytherin. Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor, Professor Quirrell was a Ravenclaw, and Barty Crouch Jr. is theorized to be a Ravenclaw. (I tweeted JK Rowling about this for an official answer) To bring this post back to the theme, Harry definitely feels like a stranger in this brand new world that has opened up to him. Everyone knows him but to him this is all so new.

Hagrid was definity the sprit of generosity in this chapter. He went all the way out to the island where Harry was staying in order to not only take Harry his letter but to give him a birthday cake!! Hagrid ended up with a little more than he barganed for because Harry didn't know his past at all. At the end of this chapter we know that Harry will be going shopping with Hagrid the next day. Hagrid was even generous enough to give Harry his coat so he could sleep a bit more comforatably. Even if the coat had something in it.
