Hands down one of my favorite thing about collecting and owning plants is finding fun ways to store, display and propagate them.
From cookie canisters, to used liquor bottles, to old Bath & Body Works candle jars, to candle holders to vintage mugs and oil cruets...if I can fit a plant in it...I WILL.
What are some creative ways you display your plants?
Picked up two new hoya species from the indoor plant festival so figured I’d do a quick round up on what I have these days. (Also as a reference post for myself later on!)
1. Hoya ‘Michele’ and Hoya polyneura “Fishtail Hoya” (two rooted cuttings so split it into two)
2. Hoya finlaysonii ‘Big Leaf’ and Hoya multiflora “Shooting Star Hoya”
3. Hoya carnosa ‘Chelsea’(?)
4. Hoya carnosa ‘Tricolor’ and Hoya pubicalyx ‘Silver Splash’(?)
5-6. Hoya wayetii and Hoya Krohniana ‘Eskimo’
7. Hoya linearis
8. Hoya retusa
9. Hoya multiflora ‘Splash’

So - this happened out of season
My 40 year old Hoya suddenly thinks it's summer. It is not. It is barely spring.

More hoya flowers (H. 'Nui', H. elliptica, H. 'Chicken Farm', H. finlaysonii (big leaves), H. DML 5655B IML 1398, H. lacunosa (splash)).
I used to have 150+ hoyas, but I've downsized and now I've only got 115 or so. I'd say I'm proud of my own restraint, but unfortunately it just means I'm running out of space with the previous hoyas having grown to take up much more space.
