When did you start drawing and any tips for adoring artists?
i started drawing when i was like 2 and have been on this hellish freight train ever sinceÂ
and my biggest tips for adoring artists are always:Â
- other artists, no matter how much more talented they are than you or how popular they are, are NOT cosmic entities you can grovel to or place on an altar. they’re just other people yo idk why its so hard to remember that for some groups on hereit might not seem too important to some but realizing this is going to take so much weigh off your shoulders i promise
- everyone says practice makes perfect for a reason. but its not just “draw something every day for two months”, its “just draw when you can/want to, but keep it up for years” no one learns in the blink of an eye
- follower counts/note counts are incredibly meaningless. most of internet popularity runs purely on luck. it doesnt reflect how much people like your work, i assure you whatever your numbers are the “attention” you get is 3x what you see at least. dont be discouraged by bigger people, but dont be bitter at them eitherÂ
