So yea, if you noticed on the last post I shared here, I was looking at that picture on a TV monitor in SL. Yes I've crossed back over there again!
This will probably be the main post I'll do about it here, I've gone and dug up my SL ig from the grave for the 1st time in like 8 years so you can go check out my SL adventures out there!
Also, yes, I was in a Undertale/deltarune sim that I came across there.
We'll see how it goes with things. Also you may see me streaming about it on Kick sometimes too that's in my campsite link thingy! Definitely not on twitch though, as SL isn't allowed there
Looking back on Undertale and Deltarune after reading Homestuck is like getting insight in Bloodborne and being able to see what you couldn’t before, oh my god.
I say this because i JUST REALIZED Another Medium’s name is a fucking Homestuck reference.I always wondered why that song was called that, especially since its my favorite from the ost. I should have guessed, i mean it literally originally was a homestuck song, and its plays in an area that is heavily inspired by one of the areas in homestuck.
My guess is that the thought process of the title was
-Homestuck has a place called “The Medium” that contains the land of heat and clockwork(aka, lava area with machinery, just like hotland
-Toby has this leftover song from homestuck called patient, decides to use it in undertale in hotland.
-toby then decides to rename it “another medium” not just as a reference to the place the song plays in being inspired by a place in the medium, but as a pun on the fact the song LITERALLY changed mediums, from webcomic to game

I do have to say this, tho:
As much as I love UTY, I will never love it more than OGUT. I get in the elevator and hear the Hotland music fade in, and even tho it's a remix, between the music and emerging from the elevator and seeing this scene, there's just a feeling of "ahhh, I'm finally back home."

undertale. its definitely a nostalgia thing, but also theres just parts of the game in general that have the “home” feeling to it. the part with sans in hotland (yknow, the restaurant section) is my favourite section in the game because it reminds me of playing it back when it had first came out. at this point its just me rambling, but i consider undertale one of the games that lead me on my journey of learning to love myself again, so that would also be why. idk man im just talking
