Hot Hatha - Leisure / Human Movement
Because of my healthy living intentions, I wanted to try something new. Running is going very well and I have a lot of run in doing it. I'm training very hard to reach my goal of 10KM's. I wanted to try yoga for a while, and every time I cycled to my internship, I came across Yoga Centre Tilburg. I told myself to do a trial lesson, but I didn't live it up, until I shared my idea with Isabelle. We signed up for a lesson last week!
We chose Hot Hatha, a form of yoga in a 40 celcius degree warm room. The heat is working intensively on your muscles and ensures that you can move easily. In this yoga class you are more agile than you normally are. Of course you sweat a lot in this class, but it is good for you. You burn a lot of calories in this lesson.
I expected a lot of Hot Hatha and my expectations came certainly true. I felt great after the lesson and a shower. It was pretty intense, but that is why it felt really good. My heart beat was just as hard as after a 5km run sometimes. I think that says enough.
