Regrann from @ckffdn - This day in 2005 Operation Redwings took place in Afghanistan. A four man Navy SEAL Team was inserted into the rugged mountains of Kunar Provence. Three of the men were killed in battle along with 16 further SEALs from Turbine 33 who were taken in the line of duty while attempting the teams rescue. Chris and Taya’s good friend, @marcusluttrell was the only survivor that day and the Operation was the genesis of #LoneSurvivor - Marcus’ account of that day. but American Sniper is not about glorifying a murderer. He killed anybody that was connected to terrorism, he was saving people’s lives. He was a hero that killed people that could have killed us, or if anyone in your family was in the marines he could’ve saved their lives so just be quiet about Chris. Please. He’s an American hero.
