Man =|a I definitely agree with parts of that large pink box post, but I feel like some of them relate to an idea of "don't make people feel bad for how they identify" that I generally support. How do you feel about that?
The pink post assumes that black people's hate of white people is even comparable to white people's hate of black people is the same. It's wrong in just about every aspect. (or straight people's hate of MOGAI, etc.)
An exasperated post of 'i hate white people' is not hate. It is exasperation. It is metonymy. It is 100% anger and frustration. There is no power behind it, no history behind, no system supporting it.
If privileged people feel bad for how they identify, that's their problem. The entire culture they live in tells them it's normal and great to be them. They are supported on every angle. If they are offended by an oppressed person's anger at the system that fucks them, than it's THEIR PROBLEM.
Of course there are exceptions, but i'm 100% sure the post is not referencing those exceptions. I'm 100% sure the post is referencing people exasperations of 'fuck men' or 'fuck white people'. This isn't making people feel bad for their identity.
Every single person has used metonymy. It's something we all do. This is not hate.
