egyptian mythology kid for sure, but they went feral over roman, greek, norse, aztec and canadian mythology as well

they were told in high school that they needed to get braces but they went off with the wayfinders society like six months later so they still have a slight overbite

if you ask them what their favorite ice cream flavor is they will tell you it's rocky road, and they do love rocky road but nothing is better than vanilla for them

somewhat similarly they'll always say their favorite bird is the rock dove (and they really do like rock doves) but they have a soft spot for canaries

they pierced their eyebrow themself (badly) in high school and their grandma made them take it out (not bc it was pierced, but because it looked reeeeally bad) and they got it done again as a 24th birthday present to themself

their parents (or at least one) were/are anthropologists and that's why they moved around so much. sloan thought that people were cool but was more interested in what people left behind than who they were socially

they weren't in iceland or singapore long enough to get fluent in either of their languages but they did pick a bit up. it's been a while now, and any time they try to speak icelandic there's a little malay mixed in and vice versa

adhd. technically they were diagnosed as a kid but they never went on meds and by now they've forgotten that they have it. they wonder why coffee makes them sleepy half the time but just shrug it off and assume it happens to everyone

their grandma gave them a book of 1,000 puns for their birthday as a kid and they still have it. they're trying to memorize all of them

their hair is naturally curly but they've been brushing it since they were a kid and just think it's unruly now

they do have more tattoos than the flames on their neck. they got something to represent their family when they turned 18 (i'm thinking it would be on their bicep, no idea what it would actually be though) and immediately they were like "oh my god that's so cool. i wanna do it again" and their neck tat was number two done like a month later

had a hot wheels phase as a kid. technically never left the hot wheels phase

u know that voice line with illari where they give her a friendship bracelet? 1) summer camp kid. 2) they taught her how to make friendship bracelets after that and now they wear it under their coat every day

they can't swim well but they can swim. doggy paddle counts as swimming, right?

they prefer sweet food over savory food and LOVE when candies are a little spicy. low low low sour tolerance though
