Donald Trump got a front row seat to his own humiliation Saturday as he was verbally attacked in a homily at Pope Francis’ funeral.
Trump, who traveled to Rome Friday, sat with world leaders at the service as his signature policy was rebuked to an audience of millions watching live around the world.
“Pope Francis incessantly raised his voice, imploring peace and calling for reason and honest negotiation to find possible solutions,” Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, who gave the homily, said.
“‘Build bridges, not walls,’ was an exhortation he repeated many times.”
The statement was clearly aimed at Trump’s promise to build a wall between Mexico and the USA to halt illegal immigration.
It — along with many other Trump policies — was frequently criticized by the pope, who said anybody who thought of building walls rather than bridges was “not Christian” — which prompted Trump to call that statement “disgraceful.”

just finished "Someone You Can Build A Nest In" by John Wiswell and oooohhh i am so enamoured. it was such a lovely, satisfying book. no loose ends, just squirmy tentacles tied in a neat bow. i was pleasantly surprised by the twist, to the point it didnt even feel like a twist, but a lovely evolution of a fascinating plot. basically im glazing this book to hell and back.

Finished the book “Someone You Can Build A Nest In” last week and I felt like sketching the characters because I love them so much🥰❤️ this is how I saw them… can’t remember what exactly Homily was wearing but 🤷♀️

I might cry actually, about this. Like…. For decades researchers have been suggesting that there was more to the necropolis than meets the eye because these pyramids were never made to be tombs. They weren’t decorated, or filled, there were no bodies !
Tomb raiders didn’t do this. There was no robbery. There never was anything to begin with.
& everyone who said it was anything else was villainized & shunned. But look at it now !!!
You cannot deny that something big is coming from this. I wish I was there to see it.
