Apple's Illegal & Immoral Practices

Apple has always found ways to rip off their customers. For example, if you're not using an "Apple Certified" charger, your iPhone won't charge at its max charging speed. They've purposely designed their products so their batteries can't be replaced, shortening the life of the product so you'll have to buy a new one. They designed their iPhone's without an SD Card slot so they could charge astronomical prices for storage space. For a long time, Macs wouldn't read Word files. Not to mention, their products are and have always been overpriced. Here's a list of just some of their Illegal and Immoral practices.

In 2025 Apple has agreed to pay $95 Million to settle a case where Siri were listening to people without their permission.

In 2025 Apple has agreed to pay a $20 Million settlement after users experienced battery swell while using their Apple Warches.

In 2024 Apple was ordered to pay $25 Million for unlawful charges, an anti-competitive agreement, storage capacity deception and child sexual abuse material on the company’s iCloud service. 

In 2024 Apple paid out $500 Million for intentionally slowing down their phones to increase sales.

In 2024 Apple was forced by The European Union to change their charging ports to the standard C-Type charger. Apple had purposely kept thier Lightning charger at the expense of their customers.

In 2024 Apple paid $35 Million in refunds to consumers who were tricked into buying Apple iTunes and AppStore gift cards.

In 2022 Apple was forced to pay $19 Million by a Brazilian court for not including chargers with their new phones.

In 2022, Apple settled a class-action lawsuit for $30 million to California retail employees, for violating labor laws by not compensating employees.

In 2018, in Canada, Apple agreed to pay between $11-14.4 Million CAD for the premature aging of their iPhone, and in the performance of the iPhone batteries; misrepresentations or intentional concealment concerning the foregoing.

In 2016 Apple settled a lawsuit with the Department of Justice for $450 million, for conspiring with publishers to raise e-book prices. 

Apple's currently facing lawsuits for lying about the battery life in their AirPods, knowingly selling faulty AirPods that produce a crackling noise. An anti-trust suit by the Department of Justice for monopolizing the smartphone market and using anticompetitive practices, false advertising and unfair competition, lying about the carbon neutrality of their Apple Watches, And More...

仮想的なSpatial audioも良いけど、5chとか7chとか、Dolby Atmosなどにきっちり対応して物理で殴ってきても良いのにw
