Meet Shanita. She was an old wooden trash can, rescued from a thrift store, and transformed into a warm, melodic cello.

How to Make Your Own Harmonica
Creating a simple harmonica at home is a fun and educational project. Here’s a quick guide:
Materials Needed:
Two ice cream sticks
A rubber band
Two smaller rubber bands
A strip of paper (slightly narrower than the sticks)
Two toothpicks
Steps:
Prepare the Base: Place the strip of paper between the two ice cream sticks.
Secure One End: Wrap a rubber band tightly around one end of the sticks to hold them together.
Insert Toothpicks: Slide a toothpick under the paper strip at each end of the sticks, near the rubber banded ends.
Secure the Other End: Wrap smaller rubber bands around the sticks and toothpicks at each end, ensuring the toothpicks stay in place.
Adjust for Sound: Slide the paper and toothpicks slightly to adjust the tension.
Playing Your Harmonica: Blow into the gap between the sticks, creating vibrations that produce sound.
Experiment with different tensions and paper placements to change the pitch. Enjoy your homemade harmonica!

Almost done with another commission. All that’s left is adding the last few acorn bolts to the tops of some of the bolts and putting in the electronics.
