Well it’s a radish I planted which is producing leaves. A rather scrappy affair.

trying something new with a piece of yellow Moroccan ochre from Kremer pigments. Drawing directly onto the paper with the stone. The stone feels very greasy. It probably has clay in it. Therefore, the drawn lines can be activated with water. Then I use self made water/acrylic inks, made with earth pigments. I use iron ore (bean ore collected by myself), moraine stone powder, manganese black and a mix of various hematites from Kremer pigments. The inks are easy to make. Just put a bit of pigment into a small jar and add some water and a few drops of gloss acrylic varnish or painting medium (or watercolor medium),. Stir, and the ink is ready to use with a brush or a reed pen or for pouring directly onto a surface. Up to now I don't know how long these inks will be good, so I make only small amounts at once. They need to be stirred up every time you want to use them. Now the painting has to dry one night, then the next layer can be added. #watercolorpainting #earthcolors #watercolorjourney #abstractart #abstractwatercolors #inkpainting #earthinks #inking #homemadeinks #ironpigments #ochre #kremerpigmente #moroccanochre #yellowochre #redochre #manganeseblack #tryingnewtechniques #acrylicinks #makingpaint https://www.instagram.com/p/Bytcd1KI0FM/?igshid=1k7o7g35n4b9h
Warp painting on the loom - experimental!
Lavender flower ink and scarlet dye - I think this might be a background for something.
Loose drawing of dried chanterelle clump made with my first attempts at making homemade inks. The more pink one is avocado and the other is onion skins.
