Next up for trill.wav, Homebodi’s ‘Firearm’ EP! Stream the title track before it’s out April 13th!

A supercharged blend of contemporary club music, both domestic and abroad, ‘Firearm’ showcases Homebodi’s knack for broken rhythms and spacious mixes. With a garage core, grime’s tenacity, and an east coast club ethos, ‘Firearm’ does well by it’s influences, while still exploring new musical territory. The title track, a grime hybrid of sorts, utilizes fugal precussion motifs and a spacious mix, punctuated by syncopated vocals, to great affect. The B-side ‘Bangkok’ alternates between straight 4×4, and a broken rhythm, exploiting the nuances of each. Closing the record, Jame Moorfield applies a subtle tact; trading in for a slower bpm, he reimagines ‘Bangkok’ as a stripped back, 7 minute crescendo.
