I’ve said it a million times before and I’ll say it every time I watch it but Elegy for fallen wellies as well as Just a small funeral are the two best episodes of Last of the summer wine. Even though they’re so sad and an end to the LATSW legend they have the perfect balance of sadness and grief mixed with comedy and silliness ❤️ they were just done so perfectly and I can’t imagine a better send off for such a beloved character. “See ya Compo” ❤️ The moment between Clegg and Truly sat on the moors deep in thought always stays with me:
Truly: D'you think the dead ever see a sunrise?
Clegg: Yes, I do, actually.
Truly: Even those who don't get up very early?
