Hello! I wondered what grammar/resources you're using for studying ancient Greek?
hi! i use the textbook athenaze. much of my learning, though, is through my brilliant professor whose methods would be ... difficult to explain succinctly. what has been most beneficial has been reading and translating original texts, especially small poems and epigrams. i suggest using perseus! extremely helpful resource.Ā
good luck!
6 February 2019 | Finally feeling like I have a decent handle on some of these tensesāyay! That coffee shop I mentioned a bit ago that had the white chocolate honey lavender latte had a rosemary shortbread latte today and I just couldnāt help myself. It was so extremely worth every happy little brain-nourishing calorie.Ā
13 May 2019 | Itās almost summer. I have absolutely loved my courses this semester, but I will definitely be happy when this week is finished. I just submitted my final paper for my seminar course and now Iām on to studying for my church history exam. After that, all that remains is my Greek final and then I can put all my time into reading the towering pile of *other* books Iāve accumulated over the past few weeks.Ā
29 August 2019 | Greetings, friends! Iāve been away for the summer reading *all the books* but now that the term is gearing up again I wanted to check in and say Iām still very much alive. I hope summer treated everyone well, but Iāll just be honest and say that I am plenty ready for autumn. This will be a very heavy term for me, so I would appreciate prayers that I would seek and trust in Christās sufficiency during this season when Iām tempted to rely on my own strength. Let me know if there are any ways I can be praying for you as the academic year begins!

29 April 2019 | The term is nearing its end. Spring seems to finally be here for good. Weāre touring our potential new apartment this Wednesday. So many exciting transitions heading our way!
3 June 2019 | I spent some time reading in the shade of a lilac bush in a garden near my husbandās school today and it was absolutely marvelous. Iāve recently wished IĀ could be swept away to bucolic rolling hills spattered with rain, but todayās stroll has me relatively contented. Only a few more weeks left until we move so Iāll be trying to make the most of all the beauty here before we venture onwards!
4 February 2019 | I havenāt been out of the house as much lately because my husband is hunkering down in preparation for Step 1, but today heās in class for a few hours so I took the opportunity to pop into a coffee shop and work through some church history lectures. I feel much more driven to get my proper work done this semester, which is a huge relief. Last semester I always wanted to read āsomething elseāāeven when I hugely enjoyed what I was supposed to be reading. Praying I keep this same natural motivation as the semester progresses!
