02/August/2019
3 days left for my audition in Zapopan.
The pressure is killing and motivating me. Yesterday stuck with Mendelssohn and it's okay. Working through phases: last night-mendelssohn, morning-Beethoven, afternoon-Revueltas and night-Tchaikovsky is left. Going back every while and so to check on pieces.
Finally decided to play Hoffmeister etude no. 3 as my solo repertoire piece. Dividing that one as well.
Am seeing different scales, modes and arpeggios with VII grade according to each piece, it's the only jazz class homework I can study in the moment.
My head hurts: I need to chill a bit... Maybe by sleeping.

After enjoying almost ten years of violin/viola teaching, I've decided to start preparing for an orchestra audition. It was an unscratchable itch for a long time....and its time has come. I've started practicing. Hoffmeister, Bach, orchestra parts, we meet again. Also, Walton. How do you do, sir?
I'll be posting regular updates of my preparation odyssey. Feel free to comment and ask anything.
P.S. Yes, I'm scared!
hey y’all, i’m still alive - just incredibly busy. music things have been great. school things have been great. social life is getting there. i’m pretty content right now. hope you all are having a wonderful day/week/month/year <3
Guess who just ran around work blasting the Hoffmeister Viola Concerto in D Major?!?
Me, motherfuckers..
