To the E.L.F that I love

Salute!! I’m recruit number 216 Lee Hyukjae!! It’s my second letter. Has everyone been doing well? Have you been eating well, sleeping well and you haven't been sick right? The most worrying thing for you guys is me right? It's the same for me. The 1st week of training has ended since coming to the Recruits Training Centre and it's the weekends now. I've adapted a lot (to the environment) now. I now wake up automatically when it is 6.30 am in the morning (eyes can't open yet but my body will wake up first) and go to sleep at 10 at night and I sleep pretty well. 

I've been eating three meals a day well but the taste...erm I've been eating til I feel like I've filled my stomach. But as compared to what I heard before I've enlisted, army life is definitely more comfortable and I've been doing well with no particular difficulty. As everyone knows, I became a platoon leader recruit and I've been doing the duties that I'm undertaking breathtakingly well. For the physical fitness test. for the 3km run/walk, push-ups and sit-ups, I received the top rank for all of them. I'm the most excellent resource at the army.

It's thanks to everyone that I'm able to gain strength like this and be able to do well. The internet letters, handwritten letters ans parcels has been of great strength to me. Because you guys sent a lot of letters, my fellow soldiers has been envious and amazed and I am, as expected, feeling really great and proud. Even though there are a lot of letters, I will definitely read every one of them that has been sent that day diligently without missing any characters. As I read them, sometimes I feel chocked up and realize once again that I've been such an existence to you guys and that we are really different and I'm happy that we've made lots of great memories together.

While in the army, news from the outside, especially news about our members or talks about me...there were various things that I've been curious about but everyone has been letting me know through their letters on a regular basis so it was a lot less frustrating for me. I heard that Teukie-hyung has been uploading  our pictures saying that he misses us a lot, it is said that people feel lonelier as the grow older.

Everyone please become his strength next to him!! I also miss Teukie-hyung a lot. I'm very curious abut Heechul-hyung's news. Is he still alive? Aesonggie-hyung is in the midst of working hard in filming awl and I'm extremely worried. Pointing out things has always been my specialty...it's a real pity that I can't watch TV here. I heard that Kangin-hyung and Ryeowookkie has entered a new musical/play, everyone, please go and watch it a lot, have fun and create lots of hype for it. Everyone in Japan, please take care of our Kangin~! Our Masi!!!!! I heard that you've been unfolding the acting of your life and it has been going crazy but haven't you forgotten about us? About his acting not being acting...it's a relief that everyone knows the charm of that now.

Has Kyuhyun been doing his activities perfectly?I couldn't get to see him stand on stage and sing so I'm really curious. Ah!! Someone wrote in their letters that Kyuhyun sang on some program on MBC so I really wanted to watch it and by chance, the program came on the TV at our division's canteen. I stopped eating and watched it diligently bu he looked really sick. Not sure if it's because its winter but he kept coughing and I was really worried if he caught a cold. Everyone, please be careful not to catch cold. The one that I'm most curious about is Lee Donghae. I didn't see his bald head because he enlisted 2 days after me and we should be receiving pretty similar training now but I'm curious if he has or has not been stuttering and speaking properly and how he has been receiving his training. 

Everyone, please convey my regards and say that I'm no joke here, that I'm doing everything well and is really handsome. Writing it like this really made me miss the members. I want to quickly stand on stage and meet everyone too. 12th July 2017 will come right? But for the time being that I'm here, I will protect the country and protect everyone well.

When the night comes, please look at the moon. I also think about you guys while looking at the moon every night. The moon here is really bright and I can see it very well. It feels like everyone is staring at me so I'm shy.  

This letter has become longer. It seemed as though I've been writing incoherently because I just wrote it all the way without practising or changing it. Ah!! And I've been receiving lots of praises so I received a 5 minute phone call. Teukie-hyung set his phone to only receiving collective calls and Manager-hyung didn't pick up his phone. I only talked to mom and Jongseokkie-hyung.

Ah well I shall stop here. If I write too long, it will seem as though I have nothing to say and look easy. Also. Please don't feel like my words has become more stiff and I feel more distant. A soldier should be like this to seem handsome. You guys don't know because you've never entered the army before. And you didn't shave your hair too...

Ah! I'm really gonna stop here. Until the next letter, don't fall sick and is you are sick, feel slightly better and quickly get well and take care of your health!! I always miss you guys. I love you. My rubber shoes♡

The weather suddenly became colder so I got worried. I'm extremely curious if you are doing well? It's frustrating and I wanna hear your voice too TT TT I heard that you talked to Jongseokkie-hyung and Manager Yongsun. (I was thinking that) You might call today so I was waiting~~

Even though we'll get to meet during the completion ceremony on the 19th, I'm going to try going to the place on Tuesday. I'm curious how that place is like~~ I received your letter well and our son is becoming manly. We've already booked accomodations for the19th and we're planning to go the day before. We're still unsure about your noona's time (whether she'll be able to make it) and Donghae's mom called and said Donghae was worried if you're doing well.

Do your Sunday worship well and take care, fighting!!

To My Beloved E.L.F.,

Ten-hut! This is trainee number 216, Lee Hyukjae. Is everyone keeping healthy? Here at the 15th Division Recruit Training Center in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province, I’m eating well, sleeping well, pooping well, and doing well. There’s no need to worry. I can do well no matter where I am. I just miss my members and all of my fans a lot. It’s a little difficult here, but I’ll believe that everyone is doing well and focus on my training.

Do I feel awkward and distant because the way I’m talking is so stiff and formal? Truth is, I actually could write less formally, but I’m going to continue writing like this because it’s cooler to sound more like a soldier. But why hasn’t anyone else shaved their heads? Why am I the only one who’s bald? I’m really disappointed. Didn’t we have a deal? Why aren’t you granting my wish? Do you hate me?

Anyway, since I’ve gone, you don’t have a guy to meet for a year and nine months, [so that means] you have no one you need to look good for. So why haven’t you shaved your heads yet? Even if you shave your heads you’ll all still be pretty!!!! I’ll keep this in mind for the rest of my life. Since you all have taken care of me so well up to this point, I’ll stop at this.

Everyone! Please take good care of the members while I’m gone, and support them diligently, and continue to give them love!! There aren’t many members left now so they will probably be really lonely. Please stand by their side and comfort them for me. I’m alright. Please give me lots of love after I’ve been discharged. I will do really well here.

The air in the mountains is really clean, and the scenery is amazing, and on a clear day I can even see North Korea from the top of the mountain. It’s amazing! Anyway, I really miss everyone. Thank you to all of the fans who came to send me off the day I enlisted. I was really upset when I heard that some people slept outside for a few days ㅠㅠ Whatever you do, don’t get sick, and I will pray that no matter where you are you are always healthy. I love you. I’ll write again.

Baby! You have been curious why its been such a long time since I wrote you a letter right? I wanted to contact you but there were a lot of complications~ I will tell you about next time^^

It has been really right~~ TT I believe that you'll do well but why does my heart feels bitter like this. Checking the weather forecast everyday has become a habit. I wasn't extremely interested in places other than Seoul but there is a place that my eyes goes to look at now~

The temperature has dropped a lot so I'm worried. Always keep your neck warm and be careful not to catch a cold. I heard that there will be a chemical, biological and radiological training so tell them that you did lasik~

The family members are doing well. I've sent the things that you need under the name "Park Jungmin" but (I'm not sure) if you got them!!
