Transformers version of Dermatillomania where they compulsively pick/scratch their paint jobs.
They just have the odd bald patch of grey here and there, though sometimes like human skin picking they can go too far and end up carving into the metal and leaving small gouges behind.
Sometimes matching paint isn't available, especially during the war, so bots with this affliction can have discoloured sections when they spot paint. Not super obvious all the time, but bots who are more particular about paintjobs (Knockout and Sunstreaker, for example) can see the discrepancy from a mile away. It drives them up the wall, over the ceiling, down the opposite wall and back onto the floor again.
