HITMYLINE - John Conceptions ft. Vinsint
HITMYLINE Lyrics
[Intro]
You wanna be my baby?
Wanna be, you wanna be my baby?
Wanna be, you wanna be my baby?
Wanna be, you wanna be my baby?
Wanna be, you wanna be my baby?
[Verse 1: John Concepcion]
The way your body feels on mine
The way the chills creep up your spine
Ain't tryna ask but you’ll be mine
We moving fast
Can we just slow down the time?
Tell me how does it feel (yeah)
When I kiss you where you like it
You got me falling for you baby girl
I know you'll fall in love
Addicted like a drug (drug)
You falling for a thug (na)
Girl, you know what's up
[Pre Chorus: John Concepcion]
Baby, you’re a dream
So baby let me show you what I mean
And if you let me, follow your routine
Then ain't nobody do it like we do
[Chorus; John Concepcion]
Don't be so cautious
I'll be the one to tell you you're gorgeous
Want you to be my center of focus
Need you to be mine (mine, mine)
Girl, you so fine
Girl, you should come over here sometime
You know my line
Baby, just my hit my line
[Verse 2: Vinsint]
I gasp for air
As I watch that booty fall
This shit ain't fair
You are mine booty fine
Call me crazy
I got a dirty question baby
Baby, I ain't tryna waste your time but
Can I hit it from behind?
And I be talking my shit lately, come on
Just wanna make you horny, listen
I'mma make you my baby, yeah
Think that I’m frontin’ and
Think that I'm playing
But all that I’m saying's
For you (for you, you, you)
For you
[Chorus: John Concepcion]
Don't be so cautious
I'll be the one to tell you you’re gorgeous
Want you to be my center of focus
Need you to be mine (mine, mine)
Girl, you so fine
Girl, you should come over here sometime
You know my line
Baby, just my hit my line
[Outro: Vinsint & Concepcion]
Don't be so cautious
I'll be the one to tell you you're gorgeous
That pussy be my center of focus
Need you to be mine (mine, mine)
Girl, you so fine
Girl you should come over here sometime
You know my line
Baby, just my hit my line

64. “Hit My Line” by Logic
Logic released his 6th and (according to him) final album this summer entitled “No Pressure”. Despite the fact that Logic has had a very successful career as an artist, within the culture of hip hop, he has often been dismissed as “corny”, “preachy”, and inauthentic. Being a biracial man whose skin tone appears as almost white, has also been a popular dig on his credibility in the culture and as an artist. It’s frustrating to see Logic get pushed out of the game after he gave so much to it over the last decade, but I’m glad the man has found peace and is claiming his own autonomy. Logic sets the listener up for a final musical journey with him with “Hit My Line”. Unlike his releases leading up to this project, which felt more introspective. Much of this song looks outward and comments on the social issues of the time, while recognizing that the people would probably rather not hear him speak on anything. That bittersweet feeling that the line-
“They say they don’t want messages in rap It ruins the art Well, here I am people Yeah, now tear me apart”
-gives, runs through the album here and there, but not without a strong sense of confidence for what he’s been able to achieve. It’s a strong piece of work, and I definitely recommend giving a listen even you never followed Logic’s career closely. The man raps well, he’s made multiple different styles of music, he’s got the storytelling, the bars, the party tracks, the flows...what else do you want out of a rapper? Give him his flowers while he’s still here, dammit!
