We don't have pictures yet because we literally figured this out seconds ago when Mama asked "which one is the orange one with the big thick white strip around the entire neck, kinda looks like an old-timey fox stole' and I was like 'excuse me???' and so we scrolled through just to check and NOPE not a single one of the oranges we've Seen fits this description.

We'll try to get a pic soon, in the meantime their name is gonna be Foxy.

and:

- we're relatively sure/severely hoping "Ghost" was an escaped housecat we just glimpsed a couple of times, mostly bc he looked like he belonged in a highbrow cat competition or something, like he just walked out the mansion for a stroll, dude was GLORIOUS and had not a speck of dirt on him

- Cookie/Berry are now often just "the twins" bc it's damn hard to tell them apart even at noon daylight

- Oreo is no longer scared of the normal <5mph breeze just Big And/Or Weird Noises, so, like, 10mph winds. small steppy better than no steppy. we dismantled the old broken yard windmill for 'im so it would stop rhythmically clanging when the wind picked up, I think that helped lol. He also now briefly tolerates distant human presence but ONLY☝️if they are holding ✨the food tray✨

- Buddy has pretty much healed and he seems to be taking to Community life pretty well. He became a little less Desperate around the time we saw him chowing down on a robin in the neighbor's field in the rain, but he's still soooo sweet!! except! (☝️) for the part where he marks EVERYTHING. bro that's my fUCKIN CAR WHAT R U DOIN STAHP

- Still no further sightings of either Juno nor Old Matty.

- Buddy, red tabby w/ high white spotting

- Oreo, black w/ high white spotting (and a cute lil black chin so he always looks like 😮)

- Berry, dark brown tabby w/ high white spotting, slightly floppier belly

- Cookie, dark gray tabby w/ high white spotting, dark mark from rt eye down the nose (coloring? wound? eye funk?)

- Shorttail, red tabby w/ low white spotting (shorter tail, beautiful blue/green eyes)

- Ahnold, red tabby (no white, big cheeks)

- Teddy Two-Tone, red tabby with low white spotting (two different lips, white and orange)

- Foxy, red tabby w/ high white spotting, like a scarf around their neck

- Old Man Matty, red tabby with low white spotting (white socks, one white lip) and visibly old and FINALLY SEEN AGAIN AFTER ALMOST TWO MONTHS

"Honorary Members" unless and until we confirm new sightings or their potential fates:

- Juno? calico

- Buddy is looking rough but he's a trooper, his wounds do not seem to be infected. Eye is open again! He's a bit crusty and scraggly now but he's still a sweetie pie!

- So far none of the local charities we contacted can/will help, they'll loan traps but any vet care/shots will be on our own budget, which is still $0 but at least with Buddy's progress it's no longer Very Urgent

- sub point: wifey got a new job!! so budget for care may slowly grow 🤞

- We SUSPECT but cannot be 100% sure that Queenie may be pregnant.

- THERE'S ANOTHER NEW FUCKIN ORANGE CAT. after Ahnold, Shorttail, Buddy, and Old Man Matty, this makes #5 of Just Oranges jfc.

- so including Oreo, Berry, Queenie, and Ghost/Juno/Cookie the three unconfirmed/unphotographed, we're up to 11 estimated cats, but altogether only 7 have been seen for sure in the last two weeks

I'm calling them Teddy bc their face is very teddy bear coded. They're very skittish, and Queenie keeps running them off.
