so tired of the "hairy girls are bad and ugly" propaganda. like y'all are out here praising men with the itchiest uncared for stubble and my cute little mustache and chest hair is the problem?? my fuzzy arm and leg hair?? like are we joking. hair was literally there to protect our skin from the environment iirc. what is this obsession with hairless women. im not a fan.
this is intermisogyny.
Pubert Addams from The Addams Family is canonically intersex-coded using he/it pronouns, and he has hirsutism and ambiguous genitalia! When asked if the new baby is a boy or a girl, Gomez responds "It's an Addams."
Questioning CAH culture is HOW MUCH HAIR IS "EXCESS HAIR". CAN SOMEONE BE SPECIFIC PLEASE. (not aimed at you honestly). Why is every symptom list so vague?
Questioning CAH culture is...
Me casually adding more women with facial hair like beards and mustaches, whether they're cis or trans, intersex or perisex and no matter what their gender expression is like so that my intersex trans woman werewolf who stopped shaving her facial hair out of burn out on trying to appease bullshit beauty standards wouldn't be alone on having spectacular facial hair... And also make some of the women with facial hair not a werewolf so it wouldn't be chocked up to "just werewolf things"
-🎃🐈⬛
i endorse this message wholeheartedly. some women are Just Hairy!! and i love normalizing this

Hi! Something that confuses me is what is considered 'excessive hair growth' in mulleripathian people. Especially with the heavy emphasis our society puts on needing to shave and needing to eradicate every single itty bitty hair.. (very frustrating and a huge cause of insecurity for me, even though I don't consider myself a woman I still feel like I'm held to the same standard) I don't trust many sources on this because it feels like they will be skewed to encourage having less hair growth as the preferred presentation. I was wondering if you could help me? I have some intersex traits (agenital and urethral variation) and wondered if my hair growth would also fall within the intersex range. It's just hard for me to know if I really have more hair than my peers or if those people just shave every day, haha.. It would be helpful to see the range of hair that is peritypical without that added societal lense.
Hi! So, there's a lot to this that is based on secondary factors such as race/ethnicity or familial genetics.
We'll share some artwork and then break down verbally how hair growth tends to occur.
Generally speaking, this is the estrogenized vs androgenized hair growth (warning for pericisnormative language in the first photo.)
Usually, estrogenized hair growth goes as follows:
-Dark hair on the armpits
-Dark pubic/thigh/anal hair.
-Dark hair on the labiocrotal area.
-Lighter hair on the legs and arms
-Possibly light or dark hair trailing up to the belly
-Possibly dark hair around the nipples
And for many BIPOC, it also includes dark lower chin hairs, lip hairs, and possibly sideburns.
Androgenized hair growth usually goes as follows:
-Dark hair on the armpits
-Dark hair on the chest and stomach
-Dark pubic/thigh/anal hair.
-Dark hair on the labiocrotal area.
-Dark hair on the lower legs
-Light or dark hair on the upper legs
-Dark hair on the lower arms
-Light or dark hair on the upper arms
-Possibly light or dark hair on the lower shoulders
-Possibly light or dark hair on the back.
-Possibly light or dark hair on the cheeks, chin, lower lips, and upper neck.
Additional notes for both androgenized and estrogenized hair growth: Blondes or other light-haired people may have hair growth that is not as visible.
Hirsutism (excess hair growth) in people who were presumed-mulleripathian or otherwise raised female looks like this:
There is a lot of racial bias with the hirsutism scaling, since it was made for white-european people, and a lot of BIPOC naturally fall onto the 1-2ish scoring when it comes to hair. So keep that in mind if you aren't white european.
imagine a matriarchal society with a bunch of female doctors being disgusted by a male patient that doesn't grow a lot of body hair, diagnosing him with a made up condition where the only "symptom" is an absolutely harmless amount of hair, and prescribing him hormone therapy. meanwhile the female doctors looking at him with judgement all range from having very little body hair to full thick hair covering their chests and torsos, but that's just natural variation ofc.
sincerely a hairy lezzie tired of doctors trying to prescribe me testosterone blockers the moment they see any hint of my chest hair and acting like I must want to get rid of it despite me saying I love it :/
picrew is kind of always really frustrating especially as someone who's intersex with hirsutism *and* someone who also identifies with pup features because i can never just find masculine or neutral creators that aren't childishly cutesy and very not what i have in mind or don't have the facial hair option i want. like. please i'm so tired
