ok so imagine if there was an arc in ft where team natsu go to help out a village only to find out theres a curse that traps everyone that enters the village and it completely removes all magic from every individual that enters the village, so team natsu have to help break the curse and also fight a villain group without using any magic…i cooked holy fuck
this wouldve been SO interesting, it wouldve been a really cool way to help every member, mainly lucy, feel like they dont need to completely rely on their magic to protect themselves or others and also couldve been a super cool way to introduce brand new stakes because they would way more susceptible to more ‘human’ injuries and risks
it also couldve been a way for them to develop natsu’s character futher by having him come to terms with the fact that he can’t rely on jumping into every single fight because of his magic, and helping him understand that sometimes the best choice is to retreat and think of a plan before immediately jumping into a full on fight
