Ok, so if any of you follow me on social media, you have seen the smoothies I make, which has become a daily self-care ritual for me. Not for everyone, but it works for me and now I know what smoothies make me feel full and happy and I have a routine when I prep for my smoothies at the grocery store too. I know I need to have frozen organic blueberries, unsweetened almond milk, some bananas, spinach or plant-based protein powder, maybe a nut butter, and perhaps a few superfoods or adaptogens (I've been obsessed with maca recently...) This is a little routine or ritual that works for me. Do you have any? If not, does this sound like something you would like to try incorporating into your day? I can tell you from my experience that this small act of self-love first thing sets me up for success by feeding my body healthy protein, vitamins, and minerals to keep me going until lunch. And over time, I have begun to feel very cared for, because I really am taking good care of myself. My body. A lot of us have issues around body image, gut health, hormone health, eating, and food in general. In my experience, learning everything I can on the subject, experimenting in the kitchen with my diet, and giving myself grace to be imperfect throughout this process has changed everything and truly given me LIFE!!! I want to share more of this journey with you and invite you to stumble through a clean-eating challenge together. Whether you are brand-new to this or a whole foods veteran, I would love for you to join me in community with like-minded foodies. Beginning September 1st, I am doing a month-long challenge called Whole30. This will be my fourth time embarking on this journey, and from my experience, it truly is better together. We can totally make this a fun, exciting, and nutritious dietary exploration. And if you can't join us this time, tuck it away for future reference. It's never too late to start again or hit reset.
