In this edition of trusting and supporting Black women I was honored to meet Senator Kamala Harris and be in a room full of Black Girl Magic at the Black Women Power Breakfast hosted by Higher Heights for America. In this intimate setting, Senator Harris discussed her campaign to be the next President of the USA, addressed her criticism, and challenged neutral supporters to have faith in her and fight with her in this journey to the White House. I left the gathering with a greater sense of responsibility to Black women and my communities. Everyone has power to influence those in their reach. We can facilitate or be involved in the bigger conversations about why it’s important to support candidates who you identify with and who will be intentional about your community’s needs & issues. We can also donate, fundraise, volunteer, and more. Thanks to @higherheights4, Senator @kamalaharris, @tiffanydcross, @repmarciafudge and the Kamala Harris for the People campaign for putting on an informative and important event. #BlackWomenPowerBreakfast #HigherHeights #BlackWomenForKamalaHarris #BlackWomenForBlackWomen #MinoritiesForMinorities #IwillTellMyKidsThisWasTheFirstBlackFemalePresident #IfWeWillitItShallBe #KamalaHarrisForThePeople (at Atlanta, Georgia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5Jm7ldAIyA/?igshid=9o53x9uymp0e
