Suguru kind of almost sort of somewhat defecting but not actually following through with the village massacre, and instead calling Satoru for help. Apologizes for his murderous thoughts in tears on the ride home.

Suguru being sentenced to become a teacher at Jujutsu High because Satoru pulls a lot of strings.

Suguru being assigned a single student by Satoru, because he thinks that’s all Suguru can handle while he’s still grappling with old beliefs, guilt, and depression.

Suguru still kind of resenting a lot of people and secretly harbors some hate, but he tries soooo hard to be good for Satoru.

Suguru being talked about behind his back for “the incident” (almost killing a village).

Suguru being deliberately assigned someone soft, gentle, and a little broken, because Satoru thinks it will be good for him. And you don’t do well with Satoru’s tough love anyway.

Suguru thinking he shouldn’t be allowed around vulnerable people, and feeling guilty teaching you how to be a good sorcerer when, at the same time, he still thinks about being a curse user.

Suguru feeling weird about your friendship with Maki, but never saying a bad word. On the outside, he’s overly supportive and goes out of his way to let you two spend time together, to compensate for his bad and prejudiced thoughts. Like if he takes you two to get pancakes, he’ll have made up for being a little disgusted. (Satoru absolutely seeing through the façade, but keeping quiet because 1. it’s funny, and 2. he believes Suguru will get over it.)

Suguru disliking being called “Geto-sensei” by you, but not saying anything because it would distort the roles and your dynamic, and he wants to remain professional.

Suguru wanting Satoru’s approval through your progress. You wanting Suguru’s approval through your progress, completely unaware of his past.

Suguru dreading one-on-one missions with you because it feels awkward when it’s just the two of you. Now he can’t escape the constant reminder of his choices. Which is you. And it’s worse because you’re so sweet and eager to learn, and you look at him like you truly admire him, like he’s worthy of all that respect and love.

Suguru being so different from Satoru as a teacher: soft-spoken, affectionate, and serious. He doesn’t mess around. He brushes your hair. He doesn’t just toss you into a mission with the barrier closed and a “good luck”, he stays close, but lets you figure things out yourself and takes over if you get overwhelmed.

Suguru becoming intensely serious about your safety because you’re his only student, and sometimes you make him feel like he’s actually a good person. Like… like Satoru was right about everything. So he cannot lose you, his one precious little student.

Suguru encouraging you to spar and hang out with Satoru’s students because he doesn’t want you associated with the “failed sorcerer.”

Suguru watching you struggle and learning to have compassion for his younger self. He was just a kid. He sees it now. You make him want to forgive himself.

Suguru absolutely losing his shit if your life is on the line. His own life flashing before his eyes because you really are his only sweet little student, and he cannot mess this up.

Suguru learning to complain more about cursed energy itself and the higher ups instead of the non-sorcerers because having someone under his care is eye-opening. It’s easier to see where unfairness really lies.
