In honor of the Punkintyre HIAC-iversary, I decided to rewatch the match and give my own analysis.
Here are my notes:
Final thoughts: This was pure poetry in wrestling, whether it was intended to be or not. Both men put thier bodies on the line for this match and they delivered. There is a lot more that I can say and probably a lot more that I am missing but my point remains the same. This was art, this was perfection, this match will always and forever be TIMELESS

Bad Blood and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Choice to Have the Punk Drew HIAC Match First
Fuck it. I am gonna complain again here cause it is actually bullshit. I am just gonna do it in bulletin points.
- HIAC was the best match of the night. And that was unfair to fans and the wrestlers.
- The fans because we were all so worn out and mentally absent after.
- The wrestlers because there was NO WAY they could live up to that afterwards.
- It was ESPECIALLY unfair to Damian and Finn who had to follow the match with NOTHING NEW happening. It was the same old bullshit 'new judgement day tries to interrupt' woohoo, they have been doing that for months, it isn't shocking, it isn't hype worthy.
- Nothing new or noteworthy happened the rest of the show.
- For me, and probably everyone else, the other matches that I WAS hyped for PRIOR just felt so colorless and dull as a result.
- It was ESPECIALLY unfair to Roman, Cody, Jacob, and Sikoa who had to main event after that with very few cheers.
- AND the fact that it was done so The Rock could make a return where he SAID AND DID NOTHING OTHER THAN STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT FROM JIMMY!
I am so disappointed with this whole event. So livid I could vomit.
