I live in a world where people constantly do things that could kill me and I'm always told "its fine, this infectious disease isn't that serious. Complications are rare."
And then I have to explain to them that I'm the one that gets those complications because my immune system is fucked. And just because it's rare doesn't mean I'm an acceptable loss due to their carelessness. And then i also have to explain complications that arent deadly but instead disabling are often disregarded as " not serious" but at any point in time their body may stop working, and a viral illness could contribute.
Care more about immunocompromised people, please. Wear a mask. Stay home if you feel sick. Stay away from your immunocompromised loved ones if you feel sick, even if its questionable. Get tested. Get your vaccines. I shouldn't have to live scared, and cut myself off from any contact with people, just to keep myself alive. You people should care.
