if i close my eyes, and wish it hard enough, it's a saturday morning, waking up next to you. i'm lying in a summer-hot room in the middle of december, and on the tip of my tongue are three loud, heart-hammering words: 'i love you.' we breathe in together before i can say them. on the exhale, you beat me to it. i stare at your face, memorizing it for every time like this, when i relive that moment. this is what being alive feels like. love. and you.
i'm stuck in memories today. last night, all i wanted to do was go back in time. i think moments are easier to live in than moving on with every day life. i hope that one day, every passing second feels like a moment of life, even if it's as mundane as drinking coffee on a hot summer day, and my car a/c doesn't work.
in other news, though, we are down to 29 days until my exam 😬 i'm very anxious and nervous and my old boss asked me to come in to work next week. we're reaching that point of the year where everything piles up all at once trying to squish me. i just hope i'm strong enough to lift it off (like in a cartoon :3).

Suggest me a song and I’ll make an art journal page about it 1/?
The Silence by Manchester Orchestra: suggested to me by @honeystudiesblog
This is an old leather-bound edition of Moby Dick. I salvaged it from a secondhand bookstore and keep it safely tucked away from the sun.

(Summer Study Challenge) 8/22/2020: Imagine that you could fill a swimming pool with anything except water and swim in it. What would your pool be filled with?
This is giving me too many flashbacks from competitive swimming, so I’ll stay away from the pool if it’s cool with you. ;)
Nineteen credits and two honors seminars sure do hit you kinda fast, don’t they? I’ve started blocking out my days schedule wise and I’m loving it so far. It feels so much better than the pomodoro method for me. I’m usually allotting an hour and a half to each subject and an hour to do these posts should I have the time to do them. As you can see, I don’t post every day on here, and probably won’t. This semester is busy, busy!
The first two days of classes went pretty well, and my internship is off to a great start. I’m enjoying my classes so far, but I still have two more that haven’t met yet. Also catch me trying to learn Latin myself - the textbook went straight to verb conjugation and I respect that but I have no idea if I’m doing any of this right.
Hope you’re all doing well. Steady on!

hello friends of Tumblr, I am kindly asking you to follow and interact with my book&film blog @jevoisrouge
unfortunately, my school did not support students creating clubs, and i don't have the financial means to attend workshops to include on my extracurriculars,
so i decided to create this blog and include it instead
PS i also have a youtube channel and an Instagram account and it would mean the world to me if you supported me on there too <3
July 27, 2020: Do you stay indoors or outdoors more in the summer?
in the past, mostly outside. i worked at a summer camp and we spent most of the day outside. but this summer is different, and i’ve been spending most of my time inside. in the beginning of the summer, i would read outside, but then it got REALLY hot and the mosquitoes came out, so now i spend most of my time inside.
