I'm sorry but who gave the St. Churnley's staff the right to be so iconic and intriguing?
*checks notes*
Hexmaster Ranjit Singh, constantly called by the wrong name (but low-key amused by Morty's antics), secretly smokes, can shoot green fire from his hands AND make things disappear into shadows, tired af all the time and a total vibe, recognisedThompson the troll immediately, went to school with Edgar's dad, first to tell him that his dad's raven was equally uncooperative before training and lastly wHAT WAS HE DOING OUT THERE TO GET LACERATED-
Sergeant Lewis, head of school security, self-described and demonstrated "badass", has killed people in battle, fights and helps control Monty's wolf, first to tell him "it's not your fault", treats him with compassion and TELLS EVERYONE TO APPLAUD MONTY FOR HIS ABILITIES, teaches Edgar and the others vital skills that later help them defeat the Hell Pincer, and immediately believes Monty when he says he didn't attack Morty and Brandon
Nurse Lenny, was disowned by his family, plays violin, gives injured kids stickers to focus on, spits coal and ABSORBS THE PAIN OF OTHERS WHICH REPEATS ON HIM INSTEAD, owns a French press and gives out beverages to students apparently
Matthew Hinks, his design and curse and powers are SO COOL, apart from calling Roland "portly" he was very comforting and sensitive to his mindset and anxiety about his faith, married to the drama and crafting teacher Mr. Hebden, knows "how it feels to be not accepted where one feels most at home", said some very wise words about the importance of asking questions and testing beliefs (I want that convo framed on my wall btw) and supportive of whatever the hell's going on with Melvin and Morty
Elliot Kelly, is just an overall fun and approachable guy, immediately is imprinted upon by Edgar as a father figure, I can't wait to see what his classes are like
Mr. Beans, Mr. Soup, Mr. Porridge, Mr. Bolognese etc. Need I elaborate. I really want to see how Mr. Beans takes the cookery class
Point is, Midgley, I love your characters and this is an official St. Churnley's staff appreciation post
