After reading The Last Hours and now re-reading The Infernal Devices I can't help but notice the evolution of their relationship and how Will, even in his passion, is always so incredibly gentle and loving towards Tessa, even when he (half-heartedly) tries to make her hate him

1. Herondale 🏆
We got the absolute MASTERPIECES that are Kit and Will, we got Jace and James, not to mention we got some of the funniest one-liners of the whole series...a very clear strong family!!! It does get a little hazy when we enter Stephen territory...but oh well.
#2 Lightwood 🥈
They were almost #1 (but then I remembered Benedict and Tatiana 😔). Overall, they have some of the BEST characters (shouting out Alec and Izzy my icons), and of course, Gabriel and Gideon coming in with "Father is a worm" will never not be iconic ✨️. Plus, if you count the Lightwood-Bane family, we just added a crap ton of fabulous into the mix.
3. Carstairs 🥉
ALSO ALMOST #1!!! Obviously, Emma, Jem, Cordelia, and Alastair are my babies and I love them so much <3333 I just feel like compared to the #2 and #1, they have more characters that consistently are top tier. I hate to go with quantity, but when all of them are quality...I don't know what else to tell you :(
