A bunch of Helltaker stickers I've made over the last month! So many... So these just kinda happened. It's been a convoluted journey so far and hopefully this is the full stop before a new sentence. I started making a series of Signalis stickers not unlike these ones to "ease" myself out of some burnout in July. Ten stickers, small in size. That's easy, right? What I was unaware of is that it was not ten small things, it was just one really big thing, bigger than one print (which is big for me), which only dawned on me when I finished them in mid October. I had severely underestimated the scale of the project and went in unprepared. Making them dragged on for so long that I was quite tired by the end of it. So what do I do, two days after finishing the final Signalis sticker? I start sketching fifteen Helltaker stickers. Going in, I wanted to learn from the hurdles that I encountered previously. I wanted to draw each sketch in a circle representing like three inches, so I knew for a fact that everything would be the same size. Flatting and lining would be the same, breaking the project into sets of five so I dont feel overwhelmed (good method!). And for rendering I wanted to do something MUCH simpler than the very detailed Signalis project (they were SO detailed), and I hadn't really tried cel shading before so wanted to try something like it. And what I wanted most was to feel good having finished them at the end. And judging by how I'm feeling now (NOT like my soul has been ripped from my flesh), I think I've succeeded!! I'm so proud of these, and the part of my brain that likes collections is happy :) They just look nice! They are exactly what I wanted them to be: simple yet with a lil bit of challenge and personally fulfilling. And in only a month! Oct. 17th-Nov. 17th too! I feel accomplished. I'm kinda sad that this project is over too. Maybe I'll make some more alternative outfit ones eventually. Time will tell. I have a large amount of discontent for Cerberus though... Doing this has made me realise how much I hate her design...
