Summary: The problem began when Merlin said he wanted to celebrate Christmas this year.
But the problem wasnāt really a problem, since Merlin was the best thing that had ever happened to Arthur, which was a problem because it meant that Arthur had to somehow plan the best Christmas in the world.
Comment: This was so sweet, the amount of effort Arthur went to for Merlin was lovely, as was Merlinās reaction. A real feel-good story.

Summary: Arthur and Merlin had known each other practically since birth. They were inseparable from infancy; destiny had a funny way of working out how the man Arthur would rule his kingdom with was the same man who was his closest friend and confidante.
Uther and Balinor werenāt like that; Uther and Balinor fought like a hellstorm every day, every hour. Their wives could try to mend the anger between them, but more often than not it seemed as if the men were trying to run completely different kingdoms.
Arthur knew that he and Merlin could do a better job. They fought, but never seriously; it was always teasing, always in jest, always with a ripple of affection underneath it all. Arthur couldnāt imagine his father ever sneaking into Balinorās chambers when they were teenagers, just to talk about what was bothering him.
Well. There were probably other reasons Arthur came, too, but he didnāt like to think about those reasons.
Comment: I loved how soft and gentle this story was. Their love for each other was so clear that they both only needed a few words to let the other know how they felt. Beautiful.

Summary: When Merlin opened his eyes to see Uther Pendragon in all his menacing glory standing in the middle of his hospital room, he was almost certain that he must be high on painkillers, because there was no way, there was absolutely no way, that Uther Pendragon was standing in the middle of his hospital room.
āYouāre awake,ā Uther said, his voice almost pleasant. Merlin was immediately suspicious but the feeling was more muted than he usually felt when Uther showed up unannounced in his life ā or rather Arthurās life that Merlin was intrinsically a part of. Actually, everything was rather muted and hazy, which might be because Merlin was high on painkillers.
Comment:I really like stories that look into Merlin and Utherās relationship, especially when Uther comes to accept Arthur and Merlin (however begrudgingly). I also liked how sassy Merlin was despite being on A LOT of medication.

Comment: This story is so lovely, the perfect mix of angst and fluff. I loved that Merlin took their relationship so seriously he didnāt want to rush into anything and that although Arthur was hurt he didnāt get angry or resent Merlin. Their relationship is just gorgeous.Ā

Comment: I thought this story was really sweet and I really liked the concept. Merlin is such a wonderful character and there are some beautiful lines in the story; one of my favourites isĀ āIt makes sense likeā¦like stars make senseā.
