@hellfire-saurian \\ Perhaps science isn't done with you quite yet...
With the dawn of a new era on Cybertron at Optimus' sacrifice, what was once scattered remnants of the planet's people had started to once again inhabit it. Some coming to from a successful space voyage and others less so, but for the time being, it was sustainable to have cameras littered throughout the once broken cities. Most of them remains from when he had been stranded here himself.
Alone.
For the most part, he didn't think that being alone in that time had changed him in any significant way. Mostly, it was Freedom. To do as he wish, to create as they wished.
As long as he had creation to stimulate his processor, that's all that mattered. That was the definition of life for it. Experiments. Moving forward, for his spark radiated no warmth or feelings.
Starscream had gone off on his own, for some undisclosed amount of time, the two were still trying to see how far they could get before they got "too close" to capital proper. Where most of the growing population was clambering towards, with the mechs they wanted to avoid the most.
Imagine it's fascination though while breezing through the outskirted wastelands in his alt form he discovers another bot. One seemingly confused and lost. And.
Alone.
Among the second beginnings of a Cybertron that is so familiar to him and yet so very different from the place the Dinobot had called home at some point... For a moment, Shockwave parks a distance away, the two had already laid optics on each other making hiding a non-objective.
Something was burning within that bot. Something Shockwave could not empathize with but would undoubtedly come to witness.
As much as that Dinobot recognized this version of Cybetron, Shockwave recognized this version of a past experiment.
A stint of bodily modification.
One where it had coldly and cruelly fastened new shapes out of their bodies, changes so drastic even the inside had to be re-engineered, torn apart and re-mended until the body could successfully thrive. Each time, Shockwave only got better at re-arranging their innards. Vessels of energon, metal bones, cybernetic flesh, his servo knew it all.
At some point he'd transitioned into his robot mode, bracing, he knew there was no greeting he could give to this stranded inter-dimensional traveler that would stop the chase that was likely to ensue. More over, their tank alt mode would not be able to outrun this rage fueled abomination- A violent fight was unavoidable but Shockwave didn't disagree with this chance to verify any information on this corpse.
