Seeing religious people criticize the hellaverse on the basis of theological accuracy is like watching a coughing baby vs dying ant match up. And religious critics of hazbin/helluva (most of which havent even watched either show) will just eat it up uncritically, as if the point of either show was ever to be theologically accurate in any way. There are mountains of legitimate and damning criticisms of the writing, world building, and characters of the hellaverse just there for the taking, and you go with “well umm akshually the bible never said lilith was real”
Sometimes it really does feel like we are regressing to medieval levels of societal ignorance, but with social media exacerbating the stupidity by creating echo chambers
