no matter how much time passed, dick hated these gala events. all pomp and circumstance with no substance, little else besides power plays and nobles marrying off their children for political gain. though most now were now interested in dick for his good looks and the wayne name, there were still a few who gave him judgmental stares for not being noble born. at the very least, @devilbreaker was good company. pietro never thought of him as anything less for his birth, or wanted him for his fortune. and who was he to complain about good company. as the event wound down and all those others left, he finds himself alone with the silver haired man, not wanting this night to end just yet. apparently pietro had the same idea, if that offer is anything to go by. it makes a brow raise, but a smile is curling on his lips a moment later.
