1. Heckyl is really smart, and I don’t mean in the typical “excellent strategist” kind of way we already know him as.

I mean in the way that this man can spend like 5 minutes alone with a medium-ish sized machine and can build it from memory.

He creates blueprints for things and creates them faster than someone could come up with the idea for it.

2. He has an eidetic memory which basically means he can recall anything, even if he’s only seen or heard of it once.

Which is why him losing his memory of his home planet was so jarring for him because as far as he knew, he remembered everything that’s ever happened to him.

3. He keeps a journal which consists of his actual thoughts and feelings, sketches of his home planet (even if he doesn’t remember it yet) and blueprints for things he could make!!

He’s also a really good drawer which came as a surprise to a few people.

4. He loves to tinker with small machines.

In the period between returning to Sentai 6 and defeating Sledge, he accidentally blew up part of the Ranger’s base because he messed with the wrong thing which turned out to be an explosive.

5. Leading on from that, he stopped messing with machines after he killed Zenowing because it reminded him that if he just stayed ignorant and didn’t create a replica of his blaster, he could’ve lived in peace on his planet.

6. Back when he and Snide were under Arcanon’s regime, he was made to build a lot of weapons and other things for Arcanon.

Due to this, he feels somewhat responsible for a lot of planets being destroyed because would it have been possible if he didn’t make those things?

7. The gravity on Earth is greater then the gravity on Sentai 6 and due to the Energems “pausing” their holder’s body’s clocks, Heckyl and Zenowing never properly adapted to Earth’s gravity meaning it’s easier for them to get winded and hit if they’re thrown around a lot in battle.

(it’s also harder to catch your breath if you’re having a panic/anxiety attack but only Heckyl really know that)

I've had an idea in my head for a Starfleet Academy/Power Rangers crossover, so here's Heckyl giving the Comic Fury powers to the members of SFA, specifically Genesis. And then this thought popped up of them both being aliens with dino powers.

Heckyl: "And that's why you- Starfleet Cadets- human AND alien alike are now Power Rangers!"

Heckyl: "This is my zord: the Spinosaurus!"

Heckyl: "As Cosmic Fury Rangers, you will have cool weapons! Genesis as the Red Ranger and leader, you get the Ankylo Hammer!"

Genesis: *is alien*

Genesis: "Why is it dinosaur themed if we are Cosmic Rangers?"

Heckyl: *also alien*

1. I might’ve said this in a previous post but he can’t handle the cold, like at all. Mostly because I think that’s Sledges ship was very warm so over time his body got used to it, also because of the power of the Dark Energem coursing through him whether he knew it or not.

Also I think he was also a sickly child and was never good in the cold to begin with-

That’s why Heckyl is always wearing lots of long coats and multiple layers!!

2. Adding onto that, he also likes warm drinks such as tea, though he doesn’t like the taste of coffee, unless it’s one of those loaded ones from somewhere like Starbucks, because it’s too bitter for him.

3. Kind of also leading on from the previous one, he has a massive sweet tooth, though I think his favourite thing to eat would be some sort of cake and his favourite thing to drink would be hot chocolate!!

4. He and Zenowing knew each other before Earth.

HEAR ME OUT, Heckyl was with Lord Arcanon for sometime before he was captured by Sledge and we know that Zenowing was turned to Doomwing shortly after Arcanon got ahold of the Dark Energem.

Sooo I think at one point when Heckyl wasn’t Snide and Zenowing somehow was able to get control of the body, they met somehow and formed a sort of unlikely friendship, after all they were both in a similar situation though Zenowing had his memories and Heckyl didn’t.

5. He didn’t sleep at all between becoming Snide and being separated from him.

I think once either him or Snide got “tired” they would just turn into the other and so that’s how their bodies got rest, that’s also how I think him and Zenowing met because it would also work the same way from him and Doomwing.

ALSO, because of this, once he and Snide separated, he had really bad insomnia and anxiety. The insomnia because he hadn’t slept for millions of years and kinda forgot how to and anxiety because to sleep he’d have to leave his body vulnerable and Snide wasn’t there to take over and protect him.

6. I know it’s not exactly matching with the timeline the show gave us buuuutt,

Between going back in time defeating Sledge and sending everyone home to their original times and planets, there was about five month period that happened where Heckyl had to hang out with the Dino Charge Rangers.

Mostly because I feel like Ivan, Koda and Zenowing going back in time instantly to their respective periods with no hesitation after being told they couldn’t really come back to see the Rangers was a little rushed and I feel like they need the time to make a decision (though I also headcannon they can just come back whenever because wibbily wobbly timey wimey shenanigans)

7. Kinda takes place more in the comics rather then in the show but it can be in both:

Heckyl has bad nightmares, in the show because of Snide and not wanting to “reunite” with him and because I think Sledge did more then keep him in a cell for millions of years, and in the comics and onwards because he killed Zenowing who was basically the only person he felt he could really count on to keep him in check and now he’s gone he’s afraid he’s going to because like his past self again.

8. Heckyl is extremely protective over the Dark Energem and has never let it leave his body or sight since he arrived at the Promethia - I want to write a fic about this in the future, about a monster somehow getting their hands on it and he crashes out, I think it’d be funny :3

9. The team on the Promethia (Kimberly, Cam, etc) don’t know that; a) he’s not human at all, like they just think he can use his weird lightning magic because of the Dark Energem, and b) he wasn’t originally a ranger and was instead a major antagonist (though Cam and Kim know the basic rundown of what happened in PRDC and that he’s not human only after #35).

10. The lightning magic blasts he can wield have a chance to burn him if he’s not careful, especially since he’s able to harness the power of the Dark Energem, he’s also burned people more then once.

11. He bleeds a different colour compared to Humans, I’m thinking something like black so it could be mistaken as just a really dark shade of red, might also write something about that.

12. He can use a sword, really well. Like, Zenowing probably taught him everything he knew before he died so Heckyl is just really competent with a sword, even though he doesn’t use it often.

I don’t know why, I also like the idea of him using throwing knives, maybe because I think he’s a good long range fighter in general… now imagine if he had a gun-

13. When he was captured in PRCF, they interrogated him violently, like my guy was not okay after it but he fought on during the battle with the Rangers and afterwards had a panic attack or something because it reminded him too much of Sledge’s ship and how he was treated there :3

Don’t worry, Tarrick and Billy helped him and they all kinda trauma bonded together.

14. Heckyl was jumpy around Tarrick at first because of how his species can look into people’s minds so it reminded him of how his mind wasn’t his own for millions of years.

Tarrick convinced Heckyl to show him what happened during a couple of those years and then that’s why he was so panicky when he couldn’t get a hold of/find Heckyl when he was taken to prison.

Thank pretty much it, I realised I talked wayyyy too much about some of by headcannons but I love sharing them sooo oh well!!
