His magic is Philomancy, which means he can learn any type of magic he observes or studies, though he gravitates toward plants and lightning due to the aid they provide in his survival. His drive to accrue power causes a lot of cool interpersonal conflicts because though his friends are mostly morally grey, they value honesty from a pragmatic standpoint.
