Who said meal prepping has to be dreadful? Meet the crock-pot! Saving me minutes of my life for almost 12 months! Italian Turkey Burger Soup. I decided to meal prep last night so I wouldn't be tempted to eat anything bad today. I cooked the ground turkey then threw everything in the crock-pot. I hope it's as yummy as it smells. 😍🍛 I cooked the ground turkey meat on the stove. I put the rest in the crock-pot and let it cook on low for 6 hrs. You can also do this in a pan and it'll take an hour to cook. But due to my lazy ways and the fact that I had been on my feet all day at my second job I threw everything in the crock-pot. It takes a little longer to cook in it and I let it cook that long to make sure that nothing was crunchy. I turned the crock-pot on high this morning to warm it up and possibly cook it a little more before I head to work. Ingredients: Ground turkey (breast-if you'd like. I use ground turkey meat) Celery(as many as you'd like) Carrots(as many as you'd like) Beef Broth (3 cups but I used 4) Tomato paste (3tsp but I used 4) Diced Tomatoes(don't drain-1 can but I used 2) Parsley, Thyme, Oregano, Chilli flakes, Basil, etc(I didnt use everything. I substituted chilli flakes for something else because I couldn't find that or thyme) Garlic minced- (3tsp but I used 4) It said salt and pepper. I use salt when I don't think something is seasoned enough. I also always season my meat so a lot of that flavor is in it. Hopefully, it's yummy! I got the recipe off Pinterest. I did my own thing with it. But that's pretty much he basis on making it. I may be topping it with sour cream and cheese! 🙃 It's a total of 300 calories (if that) with everything in the crock-pot.
