The Mistakes Healing Centers MakeâAnd How We Fixed Them!
When Orchard Recovery Center approached me, they had a clear mission but no visual identity to match it. They specialize in treating substance abuse disorders for adults, offering a safe space for healing and transformation. Their challenge? Communicating compassion, care, and recovery in a single logo.
As a graphic designer focused on branding and brand identity, I knew their logo had to tell a story. After brainstorming, I combined three elements into one design:
The Letter "O": Representing the centerâs name and creating a sense of unity and wholeness.
Caring Hands: Symbolizing the nurturing support they offer to individuals on their recovery journey.
A Person and Heart at the Center: Reflecting hope, emotional healing, and the human connection at the core of their work.
I chose teal and turquoise as the primary colors because they evoke calmness, emotional balance, and renewalâperfect for a recovery center.
When I presented the logo to their team, they were thrilled. One of them said, âThis isnât just a logo; itâs a reflection of who we are.â Seeing their excitement reminded me why I love being a designerâhelping brands connect with their audience through meaningful visuals.
A strong logo isnât just about aesthetics; itâs about creating an emotional connection. For Orchard Recovery Center, this design became more than just a graphicâit became a symbol of hope for those seeking a fresh start.
