Everyday life/Domestic ✅ : what do they pretend to have together that they don't? Ever since the Ishvalan war, Roy pretends he's able to sleep through the night, but everyone knows about the constant naps he takes during the day due to his PTSD induced insomnia yet they don't let on that they know giving him the illusion that he's successful at thinking he's fooling them. 🏠 : what part of their living space reflects them the most? Something he feels is a bit of a safe space as well would be his wardrobe in his study. He's proud of all of the formal and business formal wears. Roy feels most at home in these spaces because its the one thing that he can control outside of the military.
Socialization/Connections 🌘 : how hard is it to really know them? Roy is really a rather private person, this comes from not only his up bringing but also because of his life in the military. He's always found it easier to keep people at arms length even though there are few that he has let close to him. Those are mostly his team, Ed and Alphonse as well as his best friend Hughes.
Introspect/Internal Landscape 🫀 : what emotion scares them the most? The emotion that Roy tends to fear most is love or any variation there of. The reason for this goes along with the keeping people at arms length. Loving someone is terrifying because he can not promise them protection from anyone who may want his loved ones harmed.
Personal/Deep/ Trauma adjacent 🩸 : what wound shaped them the most, even if they won't admit it? The wound isn't necessarily his, but rather the one he had inflicted on Riza per her request. After that and before joining the military Roy promised himself that he'd never harm someone simply because they asked him. He hated how he felt when inflicting the burns on Riza's back.
Sexuality/Intimacy 💞 : do they separate sex and feelings, or blur them dangerously? For the most part Roy does keep sex and feelings separated (verse dependent and based on if he's in a relationship or not) If he has a lover or partner the lines tend to blur, its harder for him to separate feelings from the act.
Morality/Choices ⚖️ : what line will they never cross? Roy absolutely hates taking out children. Ever since the Ishvalan war, he has made the mental promise to himself to NEVER harm children. 📜 : what promise do they regret making? Promising to not stir the pot so to speak before he was able to climb the military ladder. Had he not really worried too much and stirred things up from time to time he could have done more than he was able.
