Arrival/Journey (+ details on his parents)
Note: Verse 1 Dahlia is Khaenriahn and of vampire origin. His age, unlike that of his family around is just about the same range as Flins; 800-700 years to get a rough idea how long he's been in Mondstadt in comparison to the fallen homeland. Which does mean they have never suffered what happened 500 years ago, thereby surviving the curse of Immortality unleashed by the Shade of Death. They have gotten to know the Calamity and fought what spilled forth from their fallen homeland though.
Mondstadt is their home after all.
The idea/decision to leave where he is born, comes from his mother, of wanting less to do with the noblehouse life where each day feels more suffocating than the last and how she realized other coven of vampires sought power, to overthrow other houses.
To his mother, & eventually his father, it was safety over power, life over overthrowing the innocents/fellow vampires. So no matter how his parents did argued on what to do in the beginning, without alerting other of their own kind, they snuck off, ran from Khaenriah without so much looking back, wanting no part in this plot for power at the cost of casualties.
But reaching the surface was easier said than done, for they were met with countless unknowns; wheter it was avoiding people, encountering all sort of wildlife, pushing past monsters they have never seen till now, etc.
Though the journey was grueling for this family of vampires, they still persisted. To a point, in order to survive as best as possible, they've grown an acquired taste for animal blood over people.
But even by the time they've arrived those centuries ago, in what calls itself Mondstadt, it was a beyond exhausted mother pleading to be let in, looking like she got run over, a worried child for his mom and a wary father in the presence of whomst greeted them (that being Venti).
Wheter its pity or not, that allowed them in, to get a life elsewhere, even Dahlia's parents don't care for the reasons, so long as they can take refuge somewhere.
By default, his parents are much older (close to 1000yrs).
While Dahlia possess his father's penchant for dramatic/pranks & whimsical nature, he has his mother laugh; very soft in intonation. Meanwhile his dad laugh is very giggly, and sometimes like a wheezing steam machine.
His father is also the sort to get himself lost on purpose, just to annoy his wife, so taking him in new places or even big stores, is a recipe for disaster and a rightful scolding.
While they did leave behind the life of nobility, his parents still dress the part. Albeit, living somewhere new also means to protect it and that's what Dahlia's parents did when tragedy struck, monsters/the Abyss flocking into Teyvat those 500 years past.
Dahlia, deciding to join the Church, was rather supported by his parents, wanting their son to experience life that does not feel confined, that does not seek to overthrow.
Over the years, his parents have always been close to any succeeding Grand Masters, even Varka in the current era.
