Persephone found the stray child unexpectedly. Despite his antics, she found herself unable to abandon him to the wild. "Young man, are you a wolf?" She stopped him with her words. "A man uses a fork and knife to eat..." With elegant grace, she shows him how before looking back at him to follow.
Wrath had completely ignored the utensils until she said something, instead just picking the food up with his hands and eating it like he would if he were still living outside. It was what he was used to, and he'd never really given it any thought before now.
So when Persephone addressed that as the improper way to do it, he blinked up at her, assessing what it was that she was doing and why. That looked so impractical, but her hands were clean, so maybe that was why?
"Like this?" Following her lead, he picked up the fork and knife, glancing between them skeptically. Far from her grace, however, he stabbed the fork roughly into the piece of meat, brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to imitate the movement of her knife. It looked a bit more like hacking a small slice off with a saw, but he managed to cut it with minimal screeching as the knife skidded against the plate. He winced at the high-pitched sound but finished off easily enough. And still took a bite from the larger end of the meat that still remained attached to the fork anyway.
