THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Soul merging, falling out of boats, incense, kittens, coughing, blood poisons, hot tubs, loyal servants, exceptional doctors, love-crazy princes, military superiority, misinterpreted histories, powergrabs, chess, forced identities, exotic plants, and true love.

HOT TAKE: Considering the whole point of the afterlife plot was to make sure that revenge was served to those who deserved it, I thought it was wild that its was kind of a one-and-done issue. It's like 'quick, let me give you everything I know so that my closest acquaintances will obviously know that you're me, but at the same time, you get to do whatever you want the entire time.'

I love the 'he fell harder' trope of every man in the cast (even the King was charmed instantly), the flowing costumes, and the true friendships.

I get that poison is unpredictable, but the ways in which the ML suffered, then was fine, then suffered through a procedure, then only had months to live, then was fine, was a little too much health whiplash for me to bear.

It was when she punished a rapist by making him jump off a cliff and get killed by beasts attracted by the beast luring incense that she placed on him.
