it certainly raises doubts, yes.  she does know, though, that her clan shunning her was largely because of marethari.  marethari warned the clan about her magic, & probably mentioned abominations.  she highlighted the bad possibilities for merrill & the effects it would have on the clan, but never the good ones, such as cleansing the taint from the mirror, how that could translate to people carrying the taint, & what restoring the eluvian meant for their culture.  being shunned made merrill doubt the stability of a clanâs solidarity.  they turned their backs on her & looked at her like a monster & feared her.  the dalish are supposed to stand as one.  they are family, & the last of their traditions.  they need unity to uphold what they have left, & to even have a chance at recovering what theyâve lost.  seeing them turn on her so quickly raises doubts in how willing people are to make sacrifices to return to what they once were.  however, she knows not all clans are the same.  some may still fear her & blood magic, but itâs possible some may understand.  either way, if she has to be alone in her magic, she will make the sacrifice for the good of her people.  if she can help them, it doesnât matter how they treat her because she knows they will understand one day.
